Chris Digital In-Car Assistant hands-on review

The names Siri, Alexa, and Cortana are now part of the lexicon, forever associated with virtual assistants that give helpful responses and light attempts at humor on their respective platforms. These unusual names stand out, so why would in-car digital assistant company Chris go all-in on Chris, a familiar and often heard name? Chris’s founder and CEO Holger Weiss explained:

“We wanted a gender-neutral name during development,” he told us. “But then we saw the connection with St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers, and it stuck.”
