Asus Zenfone Zoom VS Nokia 1020 : 3x optical zoom with 41MP camera

Asus Zenfone Zoom and Nokia 1020 are 2 smartphones which focus on one specific spec – camera feature. They just not focus on camera, but the Zoom on that camera.

Camera feature

What comes first to our minds about these two phones is their cameras, or more exactly their abilities to zoom. But they’re totally different. The Nokia 1020 launched in 2013 has a 3x zoom, thanks to its underlying 41 MP sensor. And the Zenfone Zoom goes to another direction with 13-megapixel sensor with 3x Optical Zoom. Despite the similar camera design, the technologies inside are very different. While the Zenfone Zoom has a 10-element optical system with 45º reflectors and zooming lenses, Nokia 1020 uses digital crop zoom, mart-cropping down to 1:1 (at 5MP).
