Asus Mixed Reality Headset review : A futuristic-looking VR headset that doesn’t quite live up to its price tag

The Asus Mixed Reality Headset is truly a mixed bag. Where it kills the competition with its looks and ease of setup and use, it can fall short through its display jitters and its price point. With Oculus and HTC rapidly becoming more affordable, the Windows Mixed Reality line is under increasing pressure to perform in the games department. And though the addition of Steam VR has certainly helped, it’s still hard to recommend the overall experience over its major rivals. Things aren’t all bleak here, and we’re hopeful for the Windows VR platform moving forward, but it’s the fine details that keep it behind the big boys for now.
