Apple AirPods 3 vs. AirPods Pro: The biggest differences we expect to see

The iPhone 13 is expected to be the main attraction at Apple’s virtual event on Sept. 14, but there’s a chance we might also see the the AirPods 3 debut. Rumors and reports suggest that a refreshed version of the standard AirPods (yes, the ones with the long stems) could launch in 2021, and Apple’s annual product launch event seems like the ideal time to do it.

If the rumors prove true, the new AirPods will be a lot more like the high-end AirPods Pro. Likely to be called the AirPods 3, Apple’s next true wireless earbuds could feature a new design with shorter stems, interchangeable ear tips, a new Apple chip and a smaller charging case.
