Rumour has it that Apple has a second-generation Magic Keyboard in development. The keyboard accessory will apparently be compatible with the iPad Pro and the rumoured fourth-generation iPad Air. The new keyboard is scheduled to arrive in March 2021, a year after Apple released the fourth generation of the iPad Pro.

The fourth-generation iPad Pros are somewhat iterative updates over their predecessors. Still, the Magic Keyboard marked the first time that Apple had brought official trackpad support to its premium tablets. The Magic Keyboard has its drawbacks though, namely its price and the heft that it adds to the overall carry weight of the iPad Pro 11 and 12.9-inch models.
