We think the world is ready for laptops running on the Ryzen 7 4800H CPU with higher-end Nvidia graphics options. AMD has the processors to really shake up the enthusiast mobile gaming market, but it will be up to the manufacturers to actually make them widely available for consumers.
It’s no secret that AMD is hitting it out of the park these days. Its latest laptops based on the Zen 2 architecture have been able to offer superior performance-per-dollar when compared to the “usual” Intel Core i5 or Core i7 offerings in the low-end to high-end categories. The ultra high-end or enthusiast laptop gaming space, however, continues to be dominated by Intel not because AMD has no answer, but because there are simply no AMD laptops to choose from.
