Xiaomi Comet prototype smartphone proves that Xiaomi has dabbled with IP68 waterproofing before

Photos of a Xiaomi Comet engineering prototype smartphone have been shared online, and it bears a distinct resemblance to the design of the Black Shark 3 gaming phone. Apparently, the Xiaomi Comet sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and is IP68 certified, which is surprising considering the OEM’s fondness for IP53-level protection.

Images of an engineering prototype smartphone called the Xiaomi Comet have been published, and they show every side of the peculiar device. The design language is vaguely reminiscent of the Black Shark 3, which is also made by Xiaomi.
