Selfie-centric smartphones have been on the rise in our market as Filipinos found out that they love taking selfies more than everyone else. Vivo capitalized on this by launching the first smartphone with a 20-megapixel front camera and we’ll find out if it offers anything more than just a phone with an outrageously-spec’d front camera. This is our review of the Vivo V5.

Design and Construction

The V5 has a 5.5-inch display size with resolution maxing out at 720p. It already has fairly thin bezels but the 2.5D curved edges make them appear thinner. In general, its face looks generic and doesn’t offer anything new.
