After a sabbatical of few years, Micromax returned to the Indian smartphone market last year in November with two handsets such as Micromax IN 1b and Micromax IN Note 1. In March, it unveiled the Micromax IN 1 handset. The Indian brand is aiming to rival popular Chinese smartphone companies in the country by launching aggressively priced phones.
