Forget USB-C. An iPhone With No Charging Port Isn’t That Absurd

After 10 years, the iPhone’s charging port is finally getting an update. The European Union has deemed USB-C to be the universal charging standard in the region, meaning all new phones launching in Europe must have a USB-C charging port in 2024. The decision had already fueled speculation about Apple’s switch to USB-C, but the company confirmed as much in a recent interview at the WSJ Tech Live Conference.
