The new regulation passed by the European Union has ruled that all electronic devices will need to incorporate a user-replaceable battery by 2027. This means that some of the best handheld games consoles, such as the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck,, will need to incorporate batteries that can be replaced easily in order to cut down on e-waste.
