Perhaps Arc System Works’ most famous franchise, Guilty Gear has been through many iterations since the first title released on PlayStation 1. As one of the premier Japanese 2D fighters that brought a great number of mechanics in vogue, from air dashing to the series’ exclusive Roman Cancels, Guilty Gear was immensely inspirational to the Japanese realm of 2D fighters. Since the series’ debut, Guilty Gear has made an appearance on each and every PlayStation console and with the launch of the PlayStation 5 comes the first entry on PlayStation 5 (though it’s also available on PlayStation 4), Guilty Gear -Strive-.
