Inside Acer Aspire 5 (A515-44G) – disassembly and upgrade options

All manufacturers are hastily releasing AMD versions of pretty much all their new models. And the Aspire 5 (A515-44G) is no different.

1. Remove the bottom plate

So, you have 11 Phillips-head screws that you need to undo. After you do so, pry the bottom panel away with a plastic tool. Pretty standard.

2. Battery

Interestingly the 48Wh battery is held in place by… nothing. Just a simple tape.
