More experienced users can do a lot to influence battery life for the better, but less experienced users may not know how to adjust default manufacturer or driver settings.
HP actually did a lot well with the ProBook 445 G7, which has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU inside. Its keyboard would be great even for prolific writers, its housing is robust, and it has a mechanical webcam cover to boot. While the frame above the screen is a little bigger so that the infrared cameras required for facial recognition can fit, it is not really a huge problem.
Since users can add a second RAM chip and a SATA mass storage device, the somewhat lower GPU performance of the AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 due to it only working in single-channel mode is not as problematic. The CPU’s performance does not quite meet the full potential of the AMD Ryzen 4500U, but it is still quite good.
