Summary: The 17-inch Nitro 5 remains true to its core values: excellent specs and competitive features in an affordable package. This version is more compact and sturdier built than its predecessors, packs updated hardware and a larger battery, as well as an optional 144 Hz screen on the higher-tier variants. The value is especially in the base-level models though, which earned our 4.25 rating, where the Nitro 5 outprices most of the competition, and which the thermal module can actually keep in check both in terms of performance, temperatures, and acoustics.
