At both the packaging and product levels, sustainability and environmental awareness are more prominent than ever in the tech world: ocean plastics, recyclable boxes, metals on their second life. Acer is the latest company to embrace eco-friendly design in its laptops with the Aspire Vero (starts at $699, $899 as tested), a 15-inch laptop partly made up of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. While the laptop incorporates a bit of trash, the result is anything but: solid performance, upgradable components, Windows 11 out the box, and an undeniably handsome design.
