Volkswagen Revives International Scout as US-Built EV Truck and SUV

It’s been 42 years since the last International Harvester Scout rolled off the line, having first debuted in 1961 as a pioneering SUV. Now Volkswagen, of all brands, is resurrecting Scout as its own separate brand of electric vehicles that will be built in the US. We first heard rumors of the Scout revival last year, but on Wednesday the brand confirmed the announcement with a teaser image showing off Scout’s two upcoming models.
