Lexus’s big LS500h sedan is both a flagship and a hybrid. We’re not convinced it can serve both masters.
The road toward a better, more responsible automobile is often beset with potholes. Some attempts at improvement, though technologically remarkable, are pragmatically self-defeating. We’re not saying the 2019 Lexus LS500h is that car, but its purpose and its virtues aren’t always clear.
