Crossovers and SUVs are popular due to many reasons. It may be due to the taller ride height and a more commanding view of the road. But one of the most important factor is the availability of the sure-footed traction and handling of a proper all-wheel drive or four-wheel drivetrain.

However, lumbering SUVs are impractical for small families. Why spend more money on seven seats if all you need is enough room to accommodate three of four grown adults?
