Should you buy a Chinese car?

What are the arguments in favour of buying a Chinese-built car? And what are the arguments against?

Chinese cars are on the rise. They are improving all the time, and you only need to contemplate the latest 2021 Haval H6 or GWM Tank 300, for instance, to see where Chinese R&D is headed.

And when I sampled a range of MG and Roewe products at the SAIC Motor proving ground at Guangde in China two years ago, I did come away impressed.
