Mitsubishi slashes Pajero 4X4 line-up

Range-topping Exceed ditched in favour of two-variant Pajero range with updated tech for 2020

Mitsubishi Australia has pared back its local Pajero line-up just months after the Japanese market announced it would discontinue the seven-seater altogether.

The manufacturer hopes the range rationalisation could increase the Pajero’s sales, with the enduring SUV’s popularity overtaken in recent years by the Pajero Sport (which is about to be updated), Hyundai Santa Fe and Mazda CX-9.
