2022 Volkswagen Touareg R hybrid confirmed for Australia

Volkswagen has locked in its first plug-in hybrid vehicle in Australia: the 340kW Touareg R performance SUV, due in showrooms late next year.

The 2023 Volkswagen Touareg R plug-in hybrid SUV will launch in Australia towards the end of 2022, the company has confirmed.

After initially being ruled out, the new Touareg R will instead be the first plug-in hybrid Volkswagen to be sold in Australia.
