2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series delayed, new timing unclear

Deliveries of the new Toyota LandCruiser have been officially delayed due to new COVID-19 outbreaks in Southeast Asia – though updated timing has yet to be communicated to customers.

Toyota Australia has confirmed deliveries of the upcoming 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series have been delayed, as the world’s largest car maker falls victim to global semiconductor shortages.

As reported by Drive, Toyota factories in Japan – including the plant responsible for building the new LandCruiser – have been forced to stop production for “part of August and most of September”, reportedly as a result of specific semiconductor shortages caused by COVID-19 outbreaks in Southeast Asia.
