2022 Audi E-Tron GT: Australian launch delayed

Audi’s Porsche-derived electric car won’t reach Australia until early next year, it has been confirmed – a delay of up to around nine months.

The 2022 Audi E-Tron GT electric sports sedan won’t reach Australian shores until early 2022, its maker has announced.

Audi Australia confirmed the delay in the E-Tron GT’s arrival to Drive this week, and while official reasoning has yet to be confirmed, it’s likely a mix of COVID-19 slowdowns and semiconductor delays affecting the automotive industry – with the former responsible for pushing the A3 small car’s arrival out by up to 12 months last year.
