Borrowing much of what you can’t see, as well as most of the interior bits, from the smaller Tesla Model 3, the Tesla Model Y is an all-electric crossover. Model Y’s base version costs $4,000 more than the entry-level Model 3, but it provides more interior room and offers an optional third-row seat.

Tesla addressed early complaints about the Model Y’s price by introducing the more affordable rear-wheel-drive Standard Range Plus grade for 2021. Although it doesn’t provide the range of the all-wheel-drive Long Range version, you will pay $8,000 less for the Standard Range Plus.
