The first petrol-electric Subaru Forester adds a new dimension to an already-commendable mid-size SUV with the promise of improved fuel economy and performance. It might be well short of wild, but it brings some weaponry to help Subaru grab a share of the steadily growing group of customers who are choosing hybrid technology.
