2020 Chevy Blazer Adds Turbo 2.0L Four-Cylinder Starting at $33,995

The new engine is available with front- and all-wheel drive, and its 230 hp puts it between the base 2.5L four and the optional 3.6L V-6.

UPDATE 9/28/19: The 2020 Blazer with its newly optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine starts at $33,995; this price is for the 2LT trim level which comes standard with this new powertrain. The $38,195 Blazer 3LT also comes with the 2.0T engine and offers the 3.6-liter V-6 as a $500 option, while the cheaper L and 1LT models come with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder and the costlier RS and Premier trims come standard with the V-6. Both 2.0T models can be had with all-wheel drive for $2000 extra.

The Chevrolet Blazer just hit the scene for 2019, but it is already adding a new engine for its second model year. The 2020 Blazer will offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, Chevy has confirmed to C/D. This slots in nicely between the current base engine, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four with 193 hp, and the upgrade engine, a 3.6-liter V-6 with 308 hp.
