The 2019 BMW X2 is a premium subcompact crossover that takes a separate route from most other vehicles of its kind. Although it was derived from the sensible and delightful X1, the X2 comes with a sportier style. It doesn’t go as far as the “4-door coupe” styling of the X4 and X6 – which are based on the X3 and X5, respectively — but it does lose some rear passenger space and cargo volume.
