The Fujifilm GF lineup deserved a lens like the Fujifilm GF 80mm f1.7 R WR from the start–and they’re finally getting it.
When the Fujifilm GF system launched, one of the first lenses I expected was the Fujifilm GF 80mm f1.7 R WR. But that was not what we were getting. What I was always told was that “Medium format is hard to make this for!” But, I’d respond with a reminder that the GF format is larger than Full-Frame, yet it isn’t a proper medium format system since it doesn’t even reach a 645 sensor size.
