The Tamron f2 prime lenses will likely be cheaper options for those that want to build a solid lens library on the cheap.

Tamron took a good long while before fully committing themselves to the Sony E mount, but if some recent news is anything to go by, they plan on making up for the lost time. No fewer than seven patents have been filed in Japan for new Tamron f2 prime lenses.
