The upcoming Nikon Z8 and D860 cameras could use Sony a7R IV’s sensor that offers a massive 61MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor.

As you might remember Nikon has signed up to purchase the new Sony 61MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor. The rumor mill claims that the IMX455 Sony 61MP sensor will be on the next Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Possible candidate for this sensor is the Nikon Z8.
