Intel acquires Tower Semiconductor for $5.4B, further expanding Intel’s ambitious foundry business

Intel has announced that it is acquiring Tower Semiconductor (formerly known as TowerJazz). Intel is purchasing the Israeli company for $53 per share, representing a total enterprise value of about $5. 4 billion.
