Fujifilm has announced two new prime lenses for its APS-C format X-mount – the XF 23mm F1.4 R LM WR and XF 33mm F1.4 R LM WR, covering equivalent focal lengths of 35mm and 50mm respectively.
The lenses are nominally similar in terms of construction, each comprising 15 elements in ten groups, with two aspherical and three extra-low dispersion (ED) elements. The aspherical elements help maintain cross-frame consistency at wide apertures, while the ED elements significantly reduce chromatic aberrations relative to previous, similar designs.
