The Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM ($2,299) is a seriously good prime lens for photographers with serious budgets. It’s an updated take on a lens that is a favorite for many a Canon SLR owner, the EF 50mm f/1.2L USM. This new version is bigger and better optically, and while it’s also more expensive, we like it enough to call it our Editors’ Choice. If you’re buying an EOS R5 and love the idea of a fast 50mm lens, the F1.2 L should be on your short list.
