The Sony brand is probably most well known for its full-frame mirrorless cameras but they do, also, make some rather good compact cameras and DSLRs, too. They also have a camera for every budget so if you have a few hundred quid or thousands to spend, Sony will have something that suits you.
As with many other brands, they really inexpensive compact cameras aren’t something Sony is focusing on any more but we do have a top list of the ‘best cheap compacts’ available should you not want to spend much cash on a new camera.
