Apple updates Final Cut Pro to improve performance with its new Mac Studio desktops

Apple has released an update for Final Cut Pro (FCP) that dramatically improves performance on its new Mac Studio computers, particularly when working with ProRes video files. In addition to improved performance in FPC, Apple has also added a few other quality-of-life features to its professional-level video editor and updated both Motion and Compressor to boot. .

Apple doesn’t go into too much detail regarding the performance improvements for its M1 Max and M1 Ultra Mac Studios, other than to say it has ‘optimized playback and graphics performance.
