How to reset a Fitbit: A guide to restarting your Charge, Alta, Versa or Ionic

Start from a blank slate with your tracker

Your Fitbit tracker may be a sturdy, reliable device most of the time, but there’s still the odd occasion where you may find yourself with no option but to reset it.

Whether it’s a Charge, Alta, Versa or Ionic, resetting different Fitbits all involve slightly different steps. And if your device is failing to respond, won’t track you or won’t sync, it’s likely that you’ll have to kick in a factory reset to try get things moving again.
