OnePlus 9 Pro removed from GeekBench’s database over claims of performance throttling

Performance evaluation platform Geekbench has removed the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone from its database amidst claims that OnePlus seemingly faked the device’s performance, using its touted OxygenOS Android overlay to throttle the processor performance of the device.

OnePlus has continued to tout top-notch device optimization for its products during marketing campaigns. The claims also extend to top performance scores for OnePlus devices across several evaluation platforms, including Geekbench.
