Panasonic has announced the new Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 lens for L-Mount cameras, such as the Panasonic Lumix S5, S1R, and other L-Mount cameras from Leica and Sigma.
The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 is the same size, and has the same center of gravity and control placement as the 85mm F1.8 and upcoming 24mm F1.8 and 35mm F1.8. The lens weighs 300 grams (10.6 oz) and is both weather-sealed and rated for operation at temperatures down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 C).
