These aquatic sculptures get their design cues from Lamborghini, Lancia, and the Chevrolet Corvette.

The call of the sea is irresistible. The first dugout canoe dates back 8000 years, and it probably wasn’t long before an enterprising chariot company partnered with those ancient mariners to produce a co-branded monoxylon. It seems the call of co-branding is likewise irresistible, especially where boats and cars are concerned. Car companies want to be involved with boats, and boat companies love the brand synergies—which is to say, huge piles of cash—that auto manufacturers bring to a project.
