2020 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring Is Too Much of a Good Thing

Despite being more powerful than the regular Aviator, Lincoln’s plug-in hybrid version also is more expensive, much heavier, and not as pleasurable to drive.

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring is proof that you can definitely have too much of a good thing. In the case of this three-row luxury SUV’s Grand Touring version (which in Lincoln-speak means “plug-in hybrid”) the measure of too much of a good thing are the numbers 5843 and 88,895. The former is the curb weight of our PHEV test vehicle, some 648 pounds more than the regular non-hybrid Aviator, and the latter is its as-tested price as a completely loaded Black Label version of the Aviator Grand Touring. And yes, that price is in United States dollars, not pesos.
