Getting Ryzen into a Surface Laptop is a big win for AMD.
When Microsoft announced that a custom Ryzen Surface Edition processor with Radeon Vega graphics would be the basis of its new 15-inch Surface Laptop 3, AMD’s low-key presence in laptops got a ginormous boost.
The design win was revealed on Wednesday at Microsoft’s Surface event in New York. Specifically, the new 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 will offer Ryzen for its consumer version.
