From what we have listed so far, readers by now should have a clearer grasp on which smartphone is better in terms of specs.
For the display aspect, the S8 has a bigger screen size and screen aspect ratio but sacrificed its screen resolution. The S1, on the other hand, bears the standard display setup used by most mid-range smartphones in the market. The viewing experience will depend on the user. If users want to sacrifice screen resolution over screen size and aspect ratio then the S8 would be the choice otherwise, users could opt to remain with the standard setup found on the S1.
In terms of CPU performance, the MT6750T of the S8 is considered as one of the processors that are used on low-mid range devices while the Helio P25 of the S1 is used on the midrange devices. As for the GPU, the Mali-T880 of the latter has better gaming potential than the former’s GPU. If users are aiming for a device with better and faster performance with and decent gaming capabilities that can run heavy graphics games, the S1 is the better choice.
For the image quality, we have not yet taken sample shots from both smartphones but you can expect them in the coming days since we will be releasing our review of both devices soon.
Their battery capacities only have little difference but since they have different chipsets, one will last longer than the other. We would also like to point out that the S1 has a larger internal storage and RAM which makes it a more viable pick for users who are fond of storing files in their smartphones.
The Bluboo S8 is priced at Php7,499/$147 while the Bluboo S1 is priced at Php7,799/$153. The price difference is little but the latter brings with it a number of improvements for just a little bit more.
