The Fossil Explorist HR does improve on the Explorist in the sense that it offers more of the Wear experience you get on other smartwatches. By that we mean, added sports tracking features and Google Pay support. Having payments is great and something we’ve asked for a while, but the heart rate monitor and GPS additions don’t seem to work brilliantly. If you are in the market for an attractive smartwatch (for men) and you’re not all that fussed by getting in the gym with it, you’ll definitely appreciate what the Explorist HR has to offer. If you do want those sporty extras, there’s definitely better options out there.
