At $449.99, the SRS-XG500 is a pretty big investment for a Bluetooth speaker, even if “portable” is relative considering its boombox size and power. In fact, it isn’t as massive as the same-priced, trash-can-sized SRS-XP700. It’s highly water-resistant and dust-proof, with a handful of appealing extras thrown in.
