The iOS 12.1.3 beta gives developers and average users a chance to try the next version of iOS 12 before it arrives for the general public. While trying the iOS 12.1.3 beta might be tempting, most iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users are better off staying put on an official version of iOS.

The final version of iOS 12.1.3 will likely land sometime in early 2019. Apple hasn’t confirmed a release date, but we expect it to arrive in January or February. If you don’t want to wait that long to try the new firmware, you don’t have to.

Apple’s iOS 12.1.3 beta is live for developers and the general public via Apple’s Beta Software Program. The Beta Software Program is free and requires a working Apple ID.
