ASUS FX503 vs Lenovo Y720 – what are the differences?

The aim of this article is to highlight the major differences between the laptops ASUS FX503 and Lenovo Legion Y720.

Under the hood, both notebooks are powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor. They also share the same GPU – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, however, Lenovo Legion Y720 features a larger amount of VRAM – 6 GB as opposed to 3 GB. In terms of memory capacity, there is no difference as both notebooks offer 16GB of DDR4 RAM.

Moving on to the display, the two models sport 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080)panels, however, Lenovo Legion Y720 comes with an IPS matrix. As for the overall dimensions, ASUS FX503 is not only the thinner but also the less heavy one – its 24 mm thin construction tips the scale at 2.50 kg (5.5 lbs). Furthermore, the notebook accommodates a bigger 4-cell battery with a capacity of 64 Wh.
