Two of the leading mobile processor manufacturers – MediaTek and Qualcomm, are facing each other again today. In our case, we will put to tests Helio X25, Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon 820 chips with the help of Meizu Pro 6, Sony Xperia X and ZTE Axon 7 respectively. We would like to first have a look at their specifications and then juxtapose their results from various benchmarks, and conclude with surface overheating tests.

Helio X25 is a MediaTek mobile chip, which can be found in the smartphone Meizu Pro 6. It is manufactured through a 20nm technological process. The mobile processor has 10 cores, which are arranged in three groups – the first group is engaged in lighter tasks, and if needed, the other cores are employed as well. It features two powerful Cortex-A72 cores, running at up to 2.5GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores ticking at up to 2.00GHz and another four not so demanding Cortex-A53 cores with an operating frequency of up to 1.4GHz.
