2018 BMW M5 revealed – prices, specs and release date

If you’re looking for a new sports saloon, the latest BMW 5 Series is very good place to start. It is, after all, our 2017 Car of the Year, scored a full five stars in our road test, and has seen off competition from Jaguar and Mercedes in group tests.

What if you’re looking for more power than the regular car offers, though? Specifically, what if you’re looking for something which can give the Jaguar XF S, Audi RS7 and Mercedes-AMG E63 a serious run for their money? Well, that’s where this new BMW M5 comes in.

BMW M5 features

Perhaps the biggest change with this sixth-generation M5 is a move to four-wheel drive. The new system, dubbed M xDrive, should result in more traction out of corners and improved acceleration away from a standstill.
