Is the dual-camera setup worth it?
A few days ago we showed you Cherry Mobile’s affordable dual-camera phones: the Flare P1 Plus and the Flare P1. Now both of these phones are pretty affordable as far as dual-camera devices go, with the Flare P1 Plus rocking a Php 5990 price tag and the Flare P1 being even more affordable, at Php 3,999. If you’ve been looking for a dual-camera smartphone and can’t afford Huawei’s excellent GR5 2017 which is priced at Php 11,990, then Cherry Mobile’s two new phones are pretty attractive options.
But, should you get them? It depends on how much of a compromise you’re willing to endure. See, while both phones still have dual-camera optics, Cherry Mobile had to cut back on a few other things to get the price so low. The Flare P1 Plus, for example, only has a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Now while those specs aren’t too bad, you’ll have to consider the other options available at the same price range, which have more RAM, storage and has octa-core processors.
